Portugal Closure: Frequently Asked Questions

GENERAL

Why is bwin closing?

We have decided to close access to our services for customers based in Portugal for commercial and regulatory reasons. However, you can still log in to access your account balances and withdraw any funds.

What does the closure mean?

This means that from 31.07.2015 onwards, customers will not be able to participate in any real-money gaming activities at bwin.com.

You will, however, be able to log in and access your current account balance and withdraw available funds.

Will we reopen again at later stage?

Our customers in Portugal remain important to us and we will continue to assess the viability of the Portuguese market and keep you informed of any plans to change this decision. We will assess potential options to re-enter the market once viable operations are possible under terms compliant with EU law and let you know once we have made the decision to offer real-money gaming to customers based in Portugal again.
