We accompanied the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen as official world partner. The event attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors, and millions more followed the two-week event on television. The bwin logo was prominently displayed on side barriers and scoreboards and the company sponsored one of the show-jumping obstacles in the show-jumping phase, one of the seven disciplines in the Games. In addition, bwin organised an official 'bwin Day' and 'bwin Prize'.
The most famous competitor at the event was Zara Philips, the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II. She won Great Britain’s only gold medal of the games.
